How does the system know when a trip starts?

Trip start and end is detected automatically via ignition on/off events from the GPS device. No driver input is required for basic trip logging.

Can drivers review their own hours?

Yes. Drivers can access their own logbook records via the mobile app. They can also add notes or flag issues with specific trips.

What happens if a driver is approaching their limit?

Both the driver and their supervisor receive an alert when the driver is within a configurable threshold of their maximum hours. The alert can be sent via SMS, email, or in-app notification.

Does it work with all vehicle types?

Yes. Driver logbooks work with any vehicle fitted with a Pacific Fleet Systems GPS device — trucks, buses, vans, and light commercial vehicles.
